Finding the right learning solution, whether it is training, a qualification or a resource such as a book or DVD, can be a hit or miss affair for employers.

The Learn from Learning evaluation tool has been developed for use with service users and provides a simple measure of how learning is expected to improve quality of life (Physical & emotional health, Social life and Dignity etc.). The tool relates learning directly to performance at work in terms of the quality of care being provided. The tool is available as a booklet that workers can print out and use with service users.

Learn from Learning: A Handbook for Service Users and Workers

A version of the evaluation tool for use with parents and families of children and young people has also been developed - Learning Evaluation tool for use with parents, carers & families

If you are interested in receiving more information about this or would like to provide feedback about the evaluation tool(s), please e-mail us at: sscinfo@skillsforcareanddevelopment.org.uk
